Pathways is a charity working with homeless people trying to find them a home as well as providing them with basic provisions such as food bank vouchers, clothes, toiletries and shower vouchers. Additionally, we provide them with groups that they can get involved and refer them to other opportunities external to Pathways.
The roles we have available currently are:
Driving donations volunteer: picking up donations from local supermarkets and dropping them off at the Pathways office. Must be able to drive and be available to do the collection at 08:30am on either Monday, Wednesday or Thursday.
Non Driving donations volunteer: organising clothes donations at the Pathways office. Can be done any time between Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm.
Outreach/ breakfast volunteer: help with either cooking the rough sleeper breakfast or going on outreach to round up rough sleepers from around Chesterfield. Tuesday or Thursday from 07:15am (outreach) or 08:30am (breakfast).
Raise volunteer: facilitating a group that lets settled ex service users organise and run fundraising projects. Time and day of group yet to be decided (can be decided with the volunteer).
Upcycling volunteer: help facilitate a group upcycling old furniture- volunteer must have practical skills for furniture. Time and day of group yet to be decided (can be decided with the volunteer) .
Reception volunteer: sit with clients whilst they wait to be seen during the drop in. Make drinks for them and answer the door. Can be done Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday 10am – 12:30pm.
