Like most of you, we have been monitoring the Coronavirus pandemic closely. At the moment, there is only a need to take action if you have symptoms (a fever, difficulty breathing, or a dry cough). The NHS has advised that if you have a new, continuous cough OR high temperature, you should stay at home for seven days.
That said, The Volunteer Centre will remain open as usual 9am-5pm Monday to Friday unless the official advice changes significantly. None of the staff at The Volunteer Centre has any symptoms and we are completely healthy. However, if you would prefer not to call in person, please feel free to telephone, email or use social media.
If the pandemic is likely to affect your volunteering activities, we completely understand. Just let us know, particularly if you are a befriender. Indeed, if you have symptoms, we would strongly advise not visiting any of our elderly clients, as they may well be vulnerable.
This information will be updated on a regular basis. Please contact us if you have any queries.
